Recently my CT has been giving me a little more responsibility. She has allowed me to grade the students math homework and then call each student over to help them fix their mistakes. This allows me to be able to work with the students one on one and I can also discuss with my CT what I think the students need to work on a little more. Also this week in science, the students were working on their marshmallow flyers for the Science Olympics at MOSI. I told the class about how I did the marshmallow flyers when I was their age and how I was chosen to go to MOSI to compete. I was also able to help one of the students since his partner was absent. This week I have noticed that the students tend to work harder when she has group activities or when the groups are competing against each other. As I walk around the room I can hear their discussions and I can tell they are focused because they want to beat the other teams. This is something I want to do in my own classroom, however I do not want the students to become to competitive. Another thing I have noticed in the classroom is that since lunch is at 12:30 and specials are at 1:30 my CT doesn't have much time for Science or Social Studies. This worries me because I feel that all subjects are equally important and with this schedule my CT is not given enough time to teach what she needs to teach.

I think your doing great in the classroom! Keep it up and your CT should understand that Social Studies and Science are equally important as the other subjects, With this you grading the students work and showing them what they did wrong is a great tool of being a successful teacher.
